The Bangla Sahayata Kendras and do not collect personal information for any purpose other than to complete the task given by citizens. (for example, all those information provided at the BSK through the BSK portal in response to applications, requests, information, and paid services). When you provide us with personal information while filling out the “Citizen Information Form” or the “Contact Us” form with your e-mail address or postal address, we use that information only to respond to your service request.  

The BSK portal never collects information or creates citizen profiles for commercial purposes or unspecified reasons. While you must provide an e-mail address to receive a customized response to any incoming questions or comments to us, BSK recommends that you do NOT include any other detailed personal information you do not want to share.


Automatic collection and storage of information:

The portal automatically gathers and stores technical information about the visit when you browse, read pages, or download information on the website. This information can never identify who you are. The information that is collected and stored about your visit to the portal is listed below:

• The IP address (an IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer whenever you’re surfing the web) from which you access the website. Since you log in through the BSK centre, the centre’s IP address is listed.


• The Login name (in case you have logged in via credentials or through the BSK operator, by filling out the citizen information form)

• The date and time you accessed our site or the BSK operator provided you services. (Access time and Out time)

This information is used to make further the website useful to you. With the limited data, the BSK operators learn about the number of visitors who used the site and the types of services they seek from the government at the BSK center. If you log in directly through the Mobile App or Citizens web portal, the data will also be used to provide you with the services you ask for quickly.

We never track or record information about individuals and their visits.

Site Security

For website security purposes and to ensure that the services remain available to all users, the government computer system employs commercial software programs to monitor network traffic, identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage.

Except for legitimate law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. For example, raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular deletion.

Any unauthorized attempt to upload or alter information on this webpage is strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Indian IT Act (2000).


Performance Measurement: 

We use data for analytics and measurement to understand how our services perform. For example, we analyse data about your visits to our sites or with assistance from the BSK operators to make service deliveries better and easy for you. We do not advertise or share data with any other entity. A variety of tools including Google Analytics is used sometimes, to analyse data for popular services, most needed services, area-wise requirements of public services and redressal of grievances.

 Communication with Citizens: 

We use information that we collect, such as your email address or phone number only to update and provide you with information regarding the services you task us with. For example, we may receive a SMS on your mobile phone linked to a service provided to you at the BSK centre through the BSK operator. The SMS will be a notification regarding your application made to a specific department, or for feedback on BSK performance.


Website Security Policy of has a responsibility to protect from disclosures to unauthorized parties the personally identifiable information (name, address, date of birth, identity documents, etc.) of its website users. Therefore, the portal has adopted and implemented a website security policy to protect account information of its website users. No user can keep, download, filter or use the information provided by the citizen through the BSK centre or directly on the portal for any purpose other than for which it was made available.

BSK links to other websites/portals of government departments and social media platforms to provide the best information regarding citizen services. BSK is not responsible for the contents and reliability of the linked websites and does not necessarily endorse their views. The presence of the link or its listing on this website should not be assumed as an endorsement of any kind. BSK does not guarantee that these links will always work and has no control over the availability of linked pages.


Notice and Disclosures will not use, sell, trade, nor disclose the personally identifiable information of its website users to any unauthorized third parties.

Data Quality and Access takes all steps possible to ensure that the data on the website is accurate. If something is found to be inaccurate BSK portal will make every effort to correct the said information as quickly as possible. The information contained on the BSK portal is subject to change without prior advance notice.

While using the portal certain information such as the user’s computer IP Address and time spent on pages may be collected. This non-personal information is collected in order to monitor any unauthorized use or access to the site. Anyone caught attempting to harm, steal information from, or otherwise damage the website will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Data Security portal is hosted at State Data Centre and is being developed and managed by a team of Engineers of BSK Project Management Unit. SDC has taken every precaution to secure information on BSK website. The BSK website is placed in protected zone with implementation of firewalls and IDS (Intrusion Detection System) and high availability solution.

Application Security Audit: A large number of web enabled applications are in use in the BSK website for displaying the information dynamically as per the users’ requests. All the applications have been security audited for the known application-level vulnerabilities and all the application security vulnerabilities have been addressed before the launch of the website.

Server Audit: The Applications and database servers hosting the BSK applications and Databases have been security audited. The server's hardening has been done per the guidelines given by the National Informatics Centre. However, the server access is restricted physically and through the network as far as possible. The Logs are being maintained for authorized physical access to BSK servers. The servers have been placed behind the Application firewall to hide them to the outside public.

All the development work is done on separate development environment and well tested on staging server before updating it on the production server. 

The contents are first checked on the development server before publishing on the production server. All contents of the web pages are checked for intentional or unintentional malicious content before final uploading the same on the web server.

Audit and Log of all activities referring to the operating system, access to the system and applications are maintained and archived. All rejected accesses and services are logged and listed in exception reports for further scrutiny.

All newly released system software patches, bug fixes and upgrades are deployed regularly and reviewed. The Antivirus has been deployed on the servers and is updated online. Servers’ passwords at SDC data centre are changed every month and shared by authorized officers of SDC only.
